Search and Rescue team honored

LA CRESCENTA -- The Montrose Search and Rescue Team has been presented the
Neighbor of the Month Award by the Crescenta Valley Town Council.
In 2001, the 25 men and women on the team spent a total of 5,500 hours on
rescues, trainings and weekend patrols. They responded to 77 search calls,
rescuing 240 people. The award was given at the council's April meeting.
The Neighbor of the Month Award is given to residents who serve the community.
